Following our discovery of the theft of child support funds by employees of the Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services, one of the very first public officials we contacted was the then-newly sworn-in California Attorney General, Kamala Harris. We made several phone calls and sent several letters to the California Attorney General’s office regarding the alleged theft of child support funds by employees of the Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services. These calls and letters continued when Kamala Harris was elected to the United States Senate in 2017. The sole reply to our calls and letters by Kamala Harris came in a letter from her office in December 2020. The purpose of the letter was to inform me that following Senator Harris’s election as the Vice President, I should direct all future correspondence to the Office of the U.S. Vice President in Washington, D.C.
I followed this directive and sent all future correspondence to VP Kamala Harris’s VP address and never received any subsequent replies from VP Kamala Harris.
The victims of the crimes that were brought to Kamala Harris’s attention in these letters are primarily the families that were stolen from, the parent paying support, the children receiving support, and the parent receiving support. If you are in this group, there is a high probability that you have been a victim of theft by employees of the county child support agency that collects and disburses your child support payments. We urge you to contact Kamala Harris’s office to help investigate your case and determine whether you are a victim. Here is her page so that you can leave a message here to help you look into your case with your child support agency. https://kamalaharris.com/connect/
